The wedding dress held hostage…
Amy and Jeremiah's wedding day blunder was perfect in nature because it was what could have been a real disaster, thwarted by a quick call to 911. With her bridesmaids preparing for the wedding over a luncheon at a friend's home, the wedding party was forced to suddenly evacuate the home when a neighbor driving a bulldozer severed the main gas line to the house. The house, in sleepy downtown Canton, Miss., had been the set for the movie "Skip, the Dog." With the bulldozing neighbor running for the home screaming "Get out," the women ran from the house, leaving their dresses upstairs. With emergency crews now canvassing the area and the wedding ceremony only a few hours away, the women began considering possibilities for producing an emergency wedding gown. After all was said and done, the women were able to reenter the home and claim their dresses with only an hour lost. Here's thanks on Amy and Jeremiah's behalf to all the brave emergency men and women who expediently returned Amy and her bridesmaids to their attire on time!!!
